Youth Week - The Final Update

Category: Festivals & Shows
Well this is it, this is the last Youth Week post. Hopefully you have experienced some kind of youth orientated event this week, if not, why not check out the huge amount of events on offer for this weekend? I know I've gone on about youth week all week and you're probably a little bored with the topic, but it has its good points - money spent on young people, offering free events just because we're awesome, lots of things to do in different places.
While youth week is a fantastic idea and has fun things to do, don’t let it draw you away from the other youth related issues that are important for the full 52 weeks of the year. Access to resources, jobs, training, youth services, youth allowance and affordable/fair education are the big ones for me. That’s probably a little off track for this blog, but just remember that while this week has been about celebrating young people in the wider community, so much more needs to be done to support young people every day. That’s the rant for today, onto the good stuff!
