Ahhh, its come around again, and so soon. National Youth Week runs from the 1st to the 9th of April and is the time of the year that has a huge focus on celebrating being young and provides a range of events to suit. Its an excellent way to get out and try something new. So in accordance with the theme of youth related events, this week will focus predominately on things that you can do during National Youth Week.
You would not believe the range of events that are happening. If you want to have a look at them all or if i dont cover something in your area you can see everything that's on in sydney and surrounds here
Okay, the first event for today is Bondi Blitz, its live music on Bondi Beach (next to the skate park) and its free! Featuring local bands Kid Courageous, Bass Camp, Chemical Transport, Intrnl, The Medics, Without Fail and For What its Worth. There's also a free learn to surf clinic run by 'Lets Go Surfing'. It runs from 12pm-5pm.
The second one for today is an event put on by Cellblock Youth Health Services (142 Carillon Rd, Camperdown) to celebrate Youth Week. An evening packed with:
* Local Hip Hop acts
* Musical and cultural performances
* Breakdancing and open mic comps
* Exhibition of local youth art
And loads of other awesome hands-on activities.
This is a chance to show off your musical or theatrical talents or display your artwork. Its also fun and Free!
Okay, tomorrow i'l post up a couple more things to check out and i'l try to do a few different areas. This is a council based event so if you want info about your local area, check out you local council.
