WWE Raw Summerslam Tour

Ahhh, the theatre of wrestling. It’s just like a night at the ballet, grown men in tight outfits, trying to impress the crowd with their masculinity while demonstrating their amazing athletic ability. If you were one of those millions of Australians tuned into the FIFA World Cup, then you will already be familiar with a critical part of commercial wrestling - the dive. That’s right, the big men go down when they get *hit* even if there is no actual (or very little) physical contact.
Championship wrestling in Australia is extremely rare, unless you have Foxtel you might not have even seen it before. But trust me, it's a wonderful experience, its hilarious and you can really get into it. There are always good guys, always bad guys, and you just never know who is going to win (well the wrestlers do, it's all scripted). It's like watching a boxing match, but knowing that after the fight the guy are in the back knocking back a few cold ones and laughing about how bad their acting was.
To see it live must be hilarious experience all of its own, and it give you the sense that it is actually real, they're moving fast enough for you to miss all but the most obvious of blunders. The WWE Raw Summerslam Tour is coming to Australia early in august to the Acer Arena (Olympic Bvd, Homebush Bay) and tickets are priced between $40 and $350 (ringside!). You can visit the official site to find out more right here.
