The Woolloomooloo Festival is a Celebration of Cultural Diversity and a Unique Inner City Community Entertainment for Kids and the whole Family!
Press Release:
Mad Hatters in the 'Loo
Celebrate the beauty and diversity of the ‘Loo at the eighth annual Woolloomooloo Festival on Saturday 21 April.
Mad Hatters In The ‘Loo is this year’s theme, and people are being encouraged to wear their maddest or silliest hat and take part in the Mad Hat Parade to win prizes galore. There will be a hat-making workshop for the ‘hatless’.
The Festival will boast two action packed stages with a range of top line entertainment. Top of the bill is “King Tide”, legendary Sydney reggae/ska/dance band.
This year the festival includes a spectacular surprise international entertainer who will perform a hilarious show. The element of surprise is crucial so the identity of the performer remains under wraps.
The Woolloomooloo Festival features something for everyone, young and old, including entertainment for children in our special kids’ area, the traditional pet show, cultural dance groups and displays throughout the day.
There will also be a variety of stalls, including exotic food vendors.
The Woolloomooloo Festival will be opened by City of Sydney Councillor John McInerney at 11am.
So come along and enjoy the day. There will be plenty to see and do in the spectacular waterside suburb of Woolloomooloo.
