What's on at the Seymour Centre?!

August 31st 2006 06:43
I struggled to find something good for today, and then i realise that as a USYD student, i should be plugging my own uni's stuff, so on to the Seymour Centre!

Unfortunately due to my extreme form of laziness, I have never been to a Revue, but from what I here, they're a bloody good time, and it's all about the students. If you walk around the usyd campus, you will notice around this time of year the bombardment of scrawled chalk all directing you to these 'Revues'. So what the hell, might you ask, is a 'Revue'? Well, this from the Seymour Centre site:

The 2006 Revues Season is an important part of the USU’s [University of Sydney Union] cultural calendar and the latest chapter of the rich dramatic tradition at The University of Sydney. Revues are revered for their side-splitting combination of political satire, merciless parodies and irreverent humour.

Sound awesome, go to them, I'm led to believe that they are cheap!

where did the tradition of these revues come from?

which one, do you think, is the most entertaining? The dullest?

hmm, cibby asking the tough questions! I will endevour to find out for you, however i would tend to say stear clear of the law review, not because it's a bad show, but because they screwed around a friend of mine!

In Canada, it's always the med revues that get the nastiest... but maybe that's changed now that the students have become so studious?
