I struggled to find something good for today, and then i realise that as a USYD student, i should be plugging my own uni's stuff, so on to the Seymour Centre!
Unfortunately due to my extreme form of laziness, I have never been to a Revue, but from what I here, they're a bloody good time, and it's all about the students. If you walk around the usyd campus, you will notice around this time of year the bombardment of scrawled chalk all directing you to these 'Revues'. So what the hell, might you ask, is a 'Revue'? Well, this from the Seymour Centre site:
The 2006 Revues Season is an important part of the USU’s [University of Sydney Union] cultural calendar and the latest chapter of the rich dramatic tradition at The University of Sydney. Revues are revered for their side-splitting combination of political satire, merciless parodies and irreverent humour.
Sound awesome, go to them, I'm led to believe that they are cheap!
Bookings:
02 9351 7940
Dates:
Science 24-26 August 7pm
Medicine 30 August-2 September 7.30pm
Law 6-9 September 8pm
Arts 13-16 September
Architecture 21-23 September 8pm
