Wentworth Falls Bushwalking

Category: Things To Do
Today, I'm going up into the Blue Mountains, to get away from the fetid stench of the city, escaping the hordes of shoppers and cars that invade my neighborhood on the weekend. Get out, you parasites! Leave me in peace! Stop taking my parking spot!
Relax... I'm relaxed...
Yes, we're going bushwalking up at Wentworth Falls, trying to grab a little piece of serenity.
Ah, the serenity.
There are several waterfalls in the national park, which means I'll get a chance to stand by them, breathe in that pure, water-scrubbed air and sigh. Then reflect on how long I could survive, naked, save for a loincloth, eating berries and wallabies.
The picture above is from John Boyages, director of the Breast Cancer Institute in Sydney, who went up to the Blue Mountains to snap these photos. See the rest of them here.
As he notes:
I'm with you, John.
While I'm not really counting on seeing too much wildlife, it'd be amazing to see some reptilian action. Snakes and blue-tongued lizards, sunning themselves on rocks, perhaps fighting with some angry birds. If nothing else, Nature is a great show to watch live.

"Best of all you end up at the cafe at the Conservation Hut for a well earned coffee. "
