Top 10 Best Things To Do In May - Part I

That’s right, you are seeing a Part I *gasp*. In my quick thinking desire to come up with a new idea for the start of the month, and with only 10 minutes to spare before a lecture, I may have possible bitten of more that I could, and can, and will be able to masticate. Dear readers, my mouth is full and there is hardly room left to stuff my pride in there and swallow it down... almost...
I may have possibly mislead a little in my previous post *gulp* the complete top 10 list will not all be available tonight.
However!
I will do it in 2 parts, with tonight's entry bringing you the much anticipated (well at least by that rascal Cibby - that Movie Critic we all love to love) first half of the Top 10 Best Things To Do In May. So where to start, well obviously there are certain criteria to be allowed to be an honoured member of this famed list.
Firstly, I have to think its cool – if I think its lame, I probably wouldn’t recommend it to you, unless I was out of ideas. Secondly, it has to be easy to find. I realise that just because something is hard to find, does not necessarily mean that it's bad – in fact, taking gigs as an example, many small and exceedingly intimate gatherings are some of the most memorable gigging experiences. However for the purpose of this list, the event or activity has to be able to reach a wide audience, and be available to a great number of people.
That's it, with those two simple guidelines firmly in mind, here is the beginning!~
10. State of Origin I - Telstra Stadium (May 24)
9. Romeo and Juliet - Seymour Centre (May 2-20)
8. End of Fashion - Metro Theatre (May 14)
7. Lano and Woodley - Enmore Theatre (May 11-14)
6. The Mind, Body Spirit Festival (May 4-7)
Now this is not some kind of cop out - I will, over the next few days, tell you all about these events and activities in greater detail, then next Monday we repeat the whole thing again but with part II instead of I! Isn't it just the bestest idea ever?!
Linkage: Flat Earth Society... W..T..F...

Thanks Matt, brighten up my morning and make me feel less brain-drained!
When you have finished your much-anticipated Top Ten Things in May (yes, I anticipate too!) would you come up with some suggestions for us poor uni students who are only now staggering out of the mid-semester assessment crush? Something like, '10 Top Ways to Blow off Steam in Sydney'- reasonable suggestions might include dancing the night away, more exciting options would be shooting things or maybe blowing things up- Amy seems to suggest Wynard Station, but I was hoping for some less-arrestable fun!

Hunt Famous
Orble Post of the Day
Fat Cult
Techbreak
You're going to need to do some x-plainin' about those other ones...

And Romeo and Juliet sounds good, like to hear about that, love the play.

Cibby - Im still getting crap from you even though i explained myself AND plugged both you and your blog? Seesh, whats a guy gotta do man? I didnt really consider initally how much work finding and ranking 10 interesting things were going to be and i have 2 assignments due this week!
Lia - I was just reminded of that cool show disc world... smilar belief system, except the show was actually cool. Thanks for the R&J suggestion too, very much appreciated. On and the "blowing off steam" idea is a good one, but at the moment im still in the midsemester brain exposion period so i dont want to have to think about that yet!
Ed - Today's (tuesday) is on the Mind, Body, Spirit Festival (because the date is the closest) but i will be getting to that tomorrow, so make sure youre back here to read it then.
Kev - Feel free to make it more popular! You have lots of internet contacts, spread the word brother!
