The Whitlams - Metro Theatre

Category: Music Events
Today is a hard one.
I’ve been looking around for a little while, looking at uninteresting things like girls in skimpy clothing , which I decided straight away was just an excuse for a perve, not something that may actually be interesting.
I had hoped that when i started writing this thing, it would be nice and easy, I’d get people to post up some contributions and all i would have to do is take credit for it... unfortunately it doesn’t work that way, unless you have 1000 people logging on per day (which I certainly do not), there is no possible way to get 5 contributions a week from other people. However, contributions are always greatly appreciated. They mean that I don’t have to think as much - always a plus - and it means that i can spend more time researching quality events for your viewing pleasure.
So, if you're a regular reader, or even if your just cruising by on your quest for interesting Sydney events, let me know what happening near you - preferably by in site message (if you're not a placeclick member, it literally takes 30 seconds to sign up). Also, I really appreciate comments, so if you could leave a couple here and there, that would be fantastic! That’s the rant for today, now onto the good stuff!
Ahhh, the Whitlams...
This weekend (Friday 28th and Saturday 29th) they're playing the metro theatre, and its cheap ($31.10). The Whitlams are excellent band that put on a memorable performance, and they're doing a couple of shows to support the release of their new double album 'Little Cloud'. You can guarantee that Tim Freedman will ooze personality (well either that or the red wine he loves so much) and you will have a rockin' good time, feeling the highs and lows of their varied musical stylings. For tickets go to Ticketek for more info about the Whitlams go to their official site and for some free music go to the Myspace.
Linkage! We've seen and heard about the courtcase involving Dan Brown, Now the Church wants to take him on too... with a DVD...

well, i thought it was a fine entry, especially the strong show of moralistic values at the beginning, matt (however, although im sure ur intentions were good, dont u think posting a picture of girls in skimpy clothing somewhat defeats the purpose of saying they are not interesting?)
nehoo - the whitlams sounds fab - id really like to go if i had time (actually wats the time? and the date? i cant remember - dammit that means i have 2 go n look at it agen...its ok i can skip the part with the girls in skimpy clothing, which i myself find very uninteresting) n its cheap too.
