The Sun-Herald City2Surf 2006

The Sun-Herald City2Surf is a huge Sydney event that occurs annually of the second Sunday in August - this year it's August 13th (with the run commencing at 9.30). The City2Surf is not only an event for genuine runners who are out to win, but a massive fun-run for anyone who would enjoy a relaxing day out in the sun and getting in a little exercise. This is definitely an event for everyone, from professionals, to amateurs, mothers and babies, Spiderman, superman and a whole lot of painted people. The City2Surf draws 60,000 people to the 14km journey through Sydney's eastern suburbs to the finish line at Bondi.

Entry fee for adults is $35, for children 5 to 17 $25 and under 5 free. You can register online at the official site here. The website has heaps of information on the event, about the course, training tips and a blog.


If you do happen to go in it, either seriously, for fun, individually or as a team effort - good luck!

Oh I can't wait! I love the C2S. And no I'm not dressing up unfortunately, I'm actually racing, but it's great to kick back afterwards and check out all the crazy outfits!
A fantastic event, and I highly recommend people try it, even if you walk! A great way to see Sydney, and participate in the largest road race or fun run in the world!

The last time I ran the City 2 Surf my sneakers were too small and my big toe-nails went all black and fell out!! Bugger.

damn jon, that sucks!
I've never been in it and unfortunately i can't spare the cash this year... i think i will go in it next year though!

this is my first fun run. Im going with some crazy competitive poeple who run very fast but im going to pace it and have alot of fun. Get into it!!!
