The National Opal Collection is a cross between a showroom and museum and gives visitors a fascinating history on how opals - Australia's much loved national stone - are formed.
Like a piece of fossilised fire, the jewel in the crown of the entire collection is the Nessie the Pliosaur, a rare opalised fossil of a ferocious marine creature which ruled the seas 100 million years ago.
A large selection of opals and jewellery are for sale with all budgets catered for with prices ranging from $10 to more than $10,000.
When?
