Sydney New Year's Eve 2007
November 29th 2007 03:00
There's no better place to welcome 2008 than at the foreshore of one of the world's most beautiful harbours.
As one of the first cities to enter the new year, Sydney becomes the New Year's Eve capital of the world on the stroke of midnight with a fireworks display like no other as the famous Harbour Bridge takes centre-stage.
Last year, 1.2 million people gathered around Sydney Harbour to witness the spectacular pyrotechnics display and to join in the wonderful atmosphere at the event.
This year, the theme for the celebrations is "The Time of Our Lives" with the family fireworks at 9pm followed by the big one at midnight.
