Susannah Place Museum
July 9th 2008 23:20
The Susannah Place Museum in Sydney is a small terrace of four brick houses that give a rare glimpse into Australian domestic working class life from 1844-1990.
Despite being built over 150 years ago in 1844, Susannah Place has never been substantially remodelled and has been home to over a hundred different families. The decorative finishes including wallpapers and floorcoverings gives an insight into the diversity of 19th and 20th century.
Be sure to pick up a unique souvenir from the recreated 1915 corner store.
