A Streetcar Named Desire at the Sydney Opera House
Tennessee William's classic melodrama was bought to life in the 1960's on stage and screen by thespian icon Marlon Brando. Recently re imagined as an American Opera, all the theatrical ingredients are there, heightened drama, a sense of tragedy and of course sex, violence and betrayal.
Directed by influential Australian filmmaker Bruce Beresford (Puberty Blues, Don's Party, Barry McKenzie, Driving Miss daisy, Breaker Morant, The Club) this live stage production will feature the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra conducted by Tom Woods.
