Those few people in Sydney who don't like coffee are a rare breed, virtually extinct now days. They can easily be identified: they are grumpy in the morning, find it hard to recover from a big night and often feel seedy for the entire next day, they sleep on the train home, you can't hold a conversation with the past lunchtime and they seem to be immune to the sweet, sweet smell of coffee...
Okay, now that I’ve made you all go and make yourselves a cup of sweet, sweet coffee or at least dream about one (unless your the beast mentioned above) can you imagine a festival devoted entirely to coffee? Well it exists, and lucky for you Sydneysiders, it’s positioned conveniently at the Rocks. It’s the Aroma Coffee Festival on Sunday the 24th of July!! Coffee everywhere, hooray! It’s the ‘largest coffee festival in the southern hemisphere’ where freshly roasted and brewed blends of the liquid of life can be purchased for as little as $1… There are free demonstrations and workshops, appliances, ingredients, recipes and tips.
