Bored on Friday nights? Sick of Club Blink and the other clones? Then Purple Sneakers is for you! Every Friday night at the Abercrombie hotel, corner of Broadway and Abercrombie st Sydney 8.30 till late, indie music is played loud and always.
Bands play, dj's do their thing, its pretty cool and if you take a couple of friends or makes some new ones, you're guaranteed to have a great time For more info go to the purple sneakers site.
There is a cover charge ($10 or so) but it's definitely worth it if your sick of clubs that play strictly r&b/house and want a little variation in your Sydney club experience.

It's free before 9pm (opens at 8.30pm).
Thanks for reminding me this night exists, really must get down there one of these days... Although the dress code is pretty harsh - will red sneakers do?!?!?! =)
