Minigolf - Sydney Diary Style

I’m going to try something different for today. Today is going to be more of a diary entry than about any actual event coming up, but just give it a bit of a chance and read on (oh and let me know what you think)...
A lot can be said for the fair city known as Sydney. Firstly, there are lots of people. When backpackers from other developed countries think "Sydney holiday" I’m sure in their minds they think that Sydney will be a nice relaxing change from their own cities. I know, Sydney is no where near the massive size of say New York or even London, but to me... Sydney is full of people. For instance, the Cross Food and Wine festival that I wrote about yesterday attracted over 10000 people in its first year, and that’s not even in the centre of Sydney.
This might sound like I’m being completely negative about the place that i live... well actually i don’t really _live_ in Sydney, I commute there 5 times a week from out west but I don’t live there... I’m not being negative at all actually. More people = more money to be made by businesses = more events = more fun to be had. It’s because Sydney has such a large and diverse population that so many different things can be happening all at the same time.
This is good for us!
This means German Film Festivals, Archibald Prizes, Food and Wine Festivals, Purple Sneakers and of course - due in part to urban sprawl - minigolf at Ryde.
This may sound lame and childish. And it is. It may sound out of the way. It kind of is. But its bloody hilarious and an excellent time outside of your usual inner city comfort zone. There are 3, 18 hole courses that take about an hour each to complete.
Its $10 and its fun and it at the Corner of Victoria Road and Wharf Road, Ermington NSW 2115 and here's the site if you're interested.
Heres an Amish Laptop!
