Well we've come to the third of the 'best things to do in May' series and its time to dim the lights a little, sit back and reminisce about the people and events that have influenced our lives the most....
Like Lano and Woodley dancing in sleeping bags at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
I saw it on TV and it was bloody hilarious. It's a little had to describe it unless you were actually there or saw it on TV, it wasn’t just some lame or haphazard attempt to be in a sleeping bag, it was a serious effort, hands were pushed into corners and the only part of the comedians that were exposed were their faces. And there was dancing. Synchronised dancing. With a whole troop of similarly clad performers in the background....
I have never had the pleasure of seeing this monumental comedy duo in action, but if it was anything like the dancing sleeping bags I witnessed, I will shed a tear when they end this tour and are finally no more.
20 years is a long time, its a long time to be married, or to be employed at the same place, its even a long time between haircuts. But just imagine if you were making people laugh
for 20 years, that would definitely seem like a long time, and Lano and Woodley have done it, with style and class and a hell of a lot of jokes. Their shows at the Enmore Theatre are a must see, even if you have never heard of them before, this is your last opportunity to see two of Australia's best talents, not just in the comedy arena, but in the performing arts.
