Category: Things To Do, Circular Quay
Built in 1856 and overlooking Circular Quay, the Justice and Police Museum is housed in traditional sandstone buildings that are chock-full of Sydney history, focusing on rogues, vagabonds and the law enforcement that kept them in check.
On display at the museum is an assortment of weaponry, equipment and historical uniforms used by police. You will also get the chance to learn about the interaction between the police and Australia's indigenous population. The physical evidence from two of the state's most infamous murders, the Pyjama Girl Murder (1934) and the Graeme Thorne Kidnapping (1960), are also on display at the museum.
