Iceman - the story of Ötzi

December 28th 2007 03:00
Iceman Ötzi

This summer at the National Maritime Museum, learn the secrets of the world's oldest mummy uncovered in the Italian Alps in 1991.

The Iceman, the oldest known wet mummy in the world, was discovered in 1991 in the Ötzal Alps and remains on display at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. This archaeological sensation comes to life at the National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Sydney until mid-February 2008.

Do not miss this opportunity to examine a replica of the mummy as he was found encased in ice, or fix your eyes on the reconstructed model of the man.
