Harry Connick Jr.
February 4th 2008 10:46
Harry Connick Jr. and his big band are returning to Australia to perform in the Opera House.
Connick showed his musical talent from the early age of three when he learned to play the keyboard. By ten he had made a recording with a local Jazz band and by 19 he had released an album after learning his craft from the likes of Ellis Marsalis and James Booker.
After playing for extended runs in high profile New York venues he was asked to contribute to the soundtrack of the movie "When Harry met Sally" which included hits such as "It Had to Be You", "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore". The album went double platinum.
Ever since then Harry has been one of the world's favourite crooners, arguably taking over the mantle from Sinatra, the great entertainer from the previous generation.

Where?
Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.
How much?
$159.90 / $139.90
