Elvis Meets The Beatles Live
August 30th 2007 03:04
Back in the 1960's Elvis was fed up with the demands of touring live and retreated to his Graceland sanctuary for several years, refusing to perform in public. Then the British invasion arrived and John, Paul, Ringo and George came to the US and insisted on an audience with the big "E". Jamming the night away, they told the King that he was their idol and the reason they got into music, berating him about performing in public again the result was the now famous 1968 comeback special.
This story has little to do with the new stage show but its a cool anecdote that links Elvis to the Beatles. Returning to Star City because of popular demand this musical concert runs for 2 and a half hours and showcases the hits and energetic stage presence of both the boy from Mississippi and the 4 kids from Liverpool.
