Darling Harbour Jazz Festival - Sydney

June 7th 2006 13:14
This anual jazz festival has been running in sydney since 1991 and best of all its free!!!

The Darling Harbour Jazz Festival runs over the Queens Birthday long weekend (10-12 june) from 12pm-7.30pm Saturday and Sunday, and then 12.30pm-7pm on the Monday. This years events include performances by The Black Sorrows, James Morrison, Maya Jupiter (from jjj's hip hop show) and The Eurogliders as well as 50 or so other Australian and international jazz, funk, blues and hip-hop bands and solo artists. It looks like a pretty cool event, a good excuse to get down to the brilliant city of sydney for the long weekend and chill out to some smooth jazz tunes.

I like jazz, can't really say I've ever been a fanatic though, i like my music with a little more predictability, i usually like to know where it's going before it gets there. However, the appeal of a long weekend spend outdoors in sydney with some music, food and fire works sounds excellent to me!
