Sydney Bridgeclimb
May 19th 2008 03:00
The Bridgeclimb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the city's most exhilarating and favourite pastimes.
After all, more than 2 million have ventured across catwalks, ladders, and arches to get to the 134 metre high peak, looking down over the shimmering harbour and across to the immense skyscrapers.
This climb typically takes three and a half hours with a maximum of 12 climbers per group plus a leader. Special BridgeSuits are worn at all times and harnessed to a static line. Besides daily climbs, there are also Twilight climbs and exclusive Dawn climbs which occurs on the first Saturday of each month.
To mark the special occasion of climbing one of the world's most celebrated landmarks, climbers receive a complimentary group photo and certificate.
