Bored? Some Explicit Polaroids

Easter is a hard time of the year if you really aren’t into the Show or you cant get to The Great Escape... so what are you to do?
Don’t give up! That’s what I'm here for!
The cure for Easter boredom is obviously Theatre, nothing like a little culture to get the blood pumping. Today’s theatre entry is: Some Explicit Polaroids (Mark Ravenhill), Presented by Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Smug Theatre.
I could just give you the synopsis of the play that is posted on the site, but what would be the point, you can go and read it there in the pretty colours. I think I’ll just try and summarise it a little.
I'm not quite sure what a 'provocative urban fairytale' actually means, but in this context it appears to be the result when individuals from vastly different walks of life (an ex-con, a gay man, a Labour councillor, a lap dancer, a pinstriped capitalist and a Russian good-time toy boy) are thrown together in a situation beyond their typical experience.
The plot centres on the character Nick who, after spending 15-years on the inside for an attempted murder of 'an archetypal capitalist pig' finds that much in the world has changed. He finds himself now in a world where a generation’s idealism has become subordinated to corporate obedience and trash culture. Nick's character allows the audience to explore ideas about the present political environment, through the relationships of a group of interrelated characters.
"Some Explicit Polaroids presents us with punchy snapshots of contemporary life, loss and desire, which pulsate with energy, placing disparate, disaffected characters – each uniquely under the constraints of ‘the system’ – on a collision course, as they each search for the illusive happy ending..."
It looks good. From some other reviews I’ve read there are a few flaws, but it's the kind of thing you have to see for yourself. I’m interested in having a look so if you end up going to see it, leave a message here and tell me all about it.
