Anzac Day



The ANZAC tradition - the ideals of courage, endurance and mateship that are still relevant today was established on 25 April 1915 when the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

ANZAC Day begins with the Dawn Service at 4:00am at the Cenotaph in Martin Place.

Other events on ANZAC Day activities include:

9:00am: ANZAC Day March starting at Martin Place;
following along George Street and Bathurst Street before finishing at Hyde Park.
12:30pm: Commemorative service at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park South.
5:30pm: Sunset Service Ceremony at The Cenotaph in Martin Place.
