After the Fall are excellent. Fucking Excellent would be another way to put it. I’ve seen them live before, supporting 28 Days, and that was a strange night, i saw a guy there that I didn’t really know all that well at the time (and i though he was drunk although he claims he wasn't) and now he's one of my best mates, and the girl i went with broke up with me the next day, I was under 18 at the time so I couldn’t get into a good position to see them, general admission was for over 18's only.
Although it was such a strange night, i still remember that 28 Days gig, and the little support band know as After The Fall that blew me away instantly.
After The Fall's first EP for me was one of those cd's you listen to when you get dumped - a break up record - and mostly its hard to go back to the same music without feeling some kind of loss. Not for me. I still listen to that cd even now and most of the time all I think about is how much i enjoyed their performance.
This post was supposed to have an actual point... oh that’s right....
Next Saturday (May 6) After The Fall rock the Annandale Hotel and i just know that if you spend that $19 ( booking fee) you will have an excellent time, no matter what other crap you have going on in your life, After The Fall will pick up your spirits and make you glad you went out. Also if you go to The University of Sydney (like me!) then After the Fall are also playing at Manning Bar on Wednesday the 10th ($17.50 BF USU Access Card Holders
$22.50 BF General Admission). After the Fall also have a relatively new cd (Always Forever Now) out, get it... its good!
Now off to the footy, go the Panthers!
