Okay, its not exactly in sydney but i dont care. The Hawkesbury show is an excellent event - the largest agricultural show outside the Sydney metropolitan area. It's also rated as the Number 2 Show in NSW, after the Royal Easter Show. Thats huge! It runs over three days, from 28 Apr 2006 to 30 Apr 2006 and attracted between 60,000 - 70,000 people last year.
Now i realise its a long way from sydney, BUT its less than 1.5 hours on the train from Central and it is literally 100m from the Clarendon Station at the other end - I also live out that way and travel that amount of time on the train 5 days a week and it really is not all that bad. Try somethying new this weekend, there is heaps of things to do - Equestrian events, livestock judging, woodchopping event, side shows, entertainment, rides, horticultural exhibits, arts, crafts, trade shows, Show Parade and fireworks displays.
